Best places in winter

Good to know in winter

  • Fewer buses in winter, and even fewer on Sundays and holidays. Furgons leave when full.
  • Driving in the mountains (Dardhë, Llogara, Theth) needs winter tyres or chains.
  • Heating can be weak in cheap rooms. Ask before you book, and pack warm layers.
  • Holidays with fewer buses: 28-29 Nov, 8 Dec, 25 Dec, 1-2 Jan, 14 Mar, 22 Mar.
